I studied Medicine at Sydney University and after graduating worked at Royal North Shore Hospital. Then having spent time in Sydney and country NSW as a Senior General Surgery Trainee, I was fortunate enough to be offered a Senior training position in Plastic Surgery.
After completion of Specialist Plastic Surgery Training, I pursued further interests of Aesthetic (Cosmetic) Surgery in the United Kingdom and Microsurgery in Asia. Now a consultant Plastic Surgeon at both major Eastern Suburbs Hospitals: St Vincent’s and Prince of Wales, I enjoy my clinical work as well as teaching and charitable trips to the Third World.
Teaching for me takes many forms from lectures to Medical Students at University to being the Director of Plastic Surgery Training at Prince of Wales Hospital whereby Senior Plastic Surgery Trainees are guided through their final years of Training prior to becoming an independent Specialist Plastic Surgeon. As part of this Directorship, I sit on the New South Wales Committee for Plastic Surgery Training that carries the responsibility for helping select and train our future generations of Plastic Surgeons.
My other clinical passion is charitable work in the Third world. I dedicate at least two weeks a year to work as an Interplast Surgeon. This is predominantly in the Philippines where I perform facial reconstructive surgery on children. The return I get from this experience is beyond measure and keeps me grounded.
I maintain my expertise by also keeping abreast of worldwide developments in Plastic Surgery and attending both Domestic and International Courses and Conferences. My philosophy has always been to deliver the best natural results I possibly can. This comes about for me through a strong foundation in training and a continual pursuit of knowledge and excellence. For my patients, this is achieved through an individually tailored plan in a safe, caring and experienced environment. Please refer to my accreditations, should you require further information.
I have worked in medical administration for over 18 years now. In this time, I have covered all aspects of running a practice for various medical and surgical specialties.
I have found my passion in the field of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and love going on the journey with patients.
I will be working closely with Dr Ho, ensuring you have the best experience in a warm and personalised environment. I look forward to assisting and attending your needs whilst under our care.
Having studied and worked as an Assistant In Nursing & Ward Clerk in the public hospital system, I decided it was time to move into a field I am passionate about: Plastic Surgery. Working alongside Dr Ho in the speciality of Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery, I am often the first point of contact for patients.
I co-ordinate important aspects of hospital bookings and administration for the practice. My passion and enthusiasm for patient care makes me an invaluable part of the team.
I pride myself on looking after each patient through their own personal plastic surgery journey. I love working with people and strive to have a consistent pleasant and professional manner whilst in the background ensuring the practice runs smooth and efficiently.
I have been fortunate to work in different specialty areas throughout my career as a Registered Nurse. From Palliative Care to Oncology, Orthopaedic Surgery, Emergency Medicine, and now Plastic Surgery. It is by working in these varied environments that defined my personal philosophy in nursing – to provide safe, comfortable and holistic care to all my patients with a warm and personable presence. I work closely with Dr Ho in three roles: as an Operating Theatre Nurse, as a Cosmetic Injectables Practitioner and as the Practice Nurse in his consulting rooms. I look forward to meeting you.
I am a specialist Anaesthetist dedicated to providing anaesthesia customized to individual patient needs. Having graduated from medicine from the University of Sydney in 2003. I completed my Anaesthesia Training at Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney.
I have appointments across the public and private sector; with particular interests in anaesthesia for plastic surgery, Ear Nose and Throat Surgery, Neurosurgery, Obstetrics and Paediatric surgery; as well as an interest in anaesthesia and Intensive Care Management of the critically unwell patient.
As a member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and the Australian Society of Anaesthetists I have a particular enthusiasm for Medical and Anaesthesia education. I am an Instructor at Simulation-based courses for Anaesthetists and Anaesthetic Registrars.
I also have an interest in tropical medicine (having a Masters in Public Health and Tropical Medical) and Science (holding a Bachelors Degree). I share Dr Ho’s philosophy of providing holistic care tailored to each patient in a safe and compassionate environment.
I completed my Medical and Anaesthetic training in South Africa and gained recognition as a Specialist Anaesthetist in Australia in 2007. I have 17 years of experience across all fields of Anaesthesia and have focused on sub-specialty areas of interest, including Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Neuro-anaesthesia, Paediatric Anaesthesia and ENT.
I enjoy a healthy balance of both Public and Private work, and have had the privilege of working in both the Third world and First world settings. For the last decade, I have been employed as a Specialist Anaesthetist at Prince of Wales and Sydney Children’s Hospitals. In addition to my clinical roles, I have the pleasure of being the Supervisor of Advanced Anaesthetic Trainees at these major teaching hospitals. This allows me to influence the safety and quality of the next generation of Anaesthetists, while simultaneously maintaining my own knowledge and skills.
I regularly attend both regional and International Conferences to ensure I am abreast of current and future trends. I am committed to delivering a patient-focused, quality experience and believe firmly in maintaining a very professional and friendly bedside manner.
As a doctor and a mother of two children, I understand the anxiety and fear that may accompany surgery and anaesthesia. Together with Dr Ho’s accomplished team, my goal is to guide you through your procedure in the safest and most comfortable manner.
