What type of arm lift is the best one for me?
Dr Ho’s preferred technique that combines the shortest scar possible, with liposuction, which creates a toned upper arm to match proportionately with your forearm. This technique enables him to create a smooth tapered result, with as little tension as possible on the tissues to enable as little down time. By preserving the nerves and blood vessels, this will ensure better healing, shape and minimal scarring.

What is the recovery time?
Following your arm lift surgery, you will need to wear a bandage for the first week, and then a compression garment for approximately 3 months to support your shape during healing and optimise scars.
There may be some soreness, bruising and swelling, but once this has dissipated your new, shape will be noticeable at a week.
Most patients can return to work within 10 days. Most strenuous activities will need to be postponed for two to four weeks.
Dr Kevin Ho uses silicone dressings during the post-operative period to minimize scarring.
How long does it take?
An arm lift can take anywhere from 1-3 hours under a general anaesthetic in an accredited hospital with an Anaesthetist.
Dr Ho only works with board-certified Anaesthetists and will only perform arm lift surgery under sterile conditions in an accredited hospital.
Do I need to stay overnight in hospital?
Arm lift surgery is usually done as a day stay in hospital, so there is no need to stay overnight. This is tailored also to the individual needs of the patient and will be discussed with you at your consultation.
How much does an armlift cost?
An arm lift ranges between $5,000 to $8,000. Additional costs such as the Anaesthetist and Hospital costs can be given to you after your consultation with Dr Ho. Medicare and health fund rebates may apply for some of your costs.
Is there any scarring?
Arm Lift Surgery does involve incisions along the inner aspect of the arm, however where possible these are made as short as possible and hidden in th earmpit.
Dr Ho uses his specialist skills to minimise scarring and will support you during the post-operative healing. In some cases, silicone will be used to assist in scar management
